The history of Tiger Corporation started with the production of vacuum bottles.
When the company was founded, vacuum bottles were an expensive luxury product, but they cracked and broke easily.
After years of testing new ideas and technologies, Tiger was able to create a vacuum bottle with a fortified and crack proof insulation.
The same insulation was used in a recovery capsule that carried samples of Japan’s first space experiment from space back to earth.

Founded in 1923 in Osaka, Japan, Tiger Corporation began as a maker of glass vacuum bottles, earning trust through its commitment to quality and thermal innovation. By the 1960s, Tiger was exporting its products overseas, laying the groundwork for international growth.
In the 1970s, Tiger expanded into kitchen appliances, launching its first electric rice cookers, which quickly became staples in Japanese households. The success of these cookers, known for their precision and reliability, helped position Tiger as a trusted name in home cooking.
Over the decades, Tiger’s lineup grew to include thermal lunch jars, water boilers, kettles, and multi-cookers, all designed to make everyday life more comfortable and convenient. Its stainless steel bottles also evolved, combining stylish design with advanced insulation for modern lifestyles.
